Postcards from my Portland
Students were asked to make postcards about what they love about Portland. Each postcard includes a photograph of the student holding a sign about what they love in a location that is appropriate for their topic.

Fluxus Poem Map
After learning about the Fluxus International Art Movement of the 1960’s, John Cage, Yoko Ono, and Chance Procedures as a technique for discovering new ways of seeing and experiencing, we made our own instructions for walking back to the school using “Mad-Libs” as a way of adding some Chance Procedures into the mix. The results was some times profound, some times silly, but lots of fun.

How Did You Get Here
Today we asked the question “How Did You Get Here”, but weren’t just asking “which road did you take”. Instead, using our expanded vocabulary about types of maps, we tried our best to draw a map of the events and circumstances in our lives that brought us here, to this class.
